Job OverviewThe Treatment Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring a seamless experience for patients within our Dental facility. This position involves coordinating patient treatment plans, reviewing the treatment costs, managing medical records, and facilitating communication between patients and healthcare providers. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a solid understanding of dental terminology, and experience with various medical software systems.
Duties
Coordinate patient treatment plans by assessing individual needs and preferences.
Help patients understand the treatment plans thoroughly and in it's entirety
Go over the payment options and insurance coverages
Manage and maintain accurate medical records using systems such as Meditech, Epic, and eClinicalWorks.
Conduct insurance verification to ensure coverage for treatments and procedures.
Communicate effectively with patients regarding their treatment options, appointment scheduling, and follow-up care.
Collaborate with healthcare providers to streamline patient care processes.
Utilize knowledge of dental terminology to assist in patient education and documentation.
File and organize patient records efficiently to ensure easy access for the healthcare team.
Provide support as a medical receptionist when needed, including answering phones and greeting patients.
Skills
Proficiency in medical software systems such as Dentrix or similar platforms.
Strong understanding of medical records management and insurance verification processes.
Familiarity with dental terminology to facilitate effective communication within the practice.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and collaborate with healthcare professionals.
Attention to detail in maintaining accurate records and documentation.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while providing exceptional patient care.
