Job Description
OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and practices, as well as proficiency in managing medical records and documentation. We are a Single Doctor practice. We are a OON/FFS office that is expanding and looking for a talented individual to join our practice. We are a well established practice with a focus on creating an exceptional patient experience.
Duties
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment following aseptic techniques.
Manage patient records, including medical documentation and treatment plans using Dentrix software.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Operate 3D scanners for imaging when required.
Schedule appointments and maintain an organized calendar for the dental practice.
Provide support in pediatric dentistry, ensuring a comfortable environment for young patients.
Monitor inventory levels of dental supplies and assist with ordering as necessary.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
Familiarity with dental terminology and medical records management.
Proficiency in using Eaglesoft and Dexis is highly desirable, however both are easy to pick up.
Strong understanding of aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients of all ages.
Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while maintaining professionalism.
Certification or diploma in Dental Assisting is preferred but not mandatory. EFDA is a plus.

Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour
