Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients by performing thorough cleanings, assessments, and preventive care. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Our team is looking to fill a part-time position of Monday 8-5, Thursday 8-5, and Friday 8-2.
Duties

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and documenting findings.
Perform dental cleanings using appropriate techniques and tools to ensure optimal oral hygiene.
Educate patients on oral health practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
Assist in the implementation of aseptic techniques to maintain a safe and sterile environment.
Collaborate with dentists and other staff members to provide seamless patient care.
Utilize dental software, such as Eaglesoft, for documentation and patient management.
Participate in the review of documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with health regulations.
Stay current with advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies.

Skills

Familiarity with medical imaging procedures relevant to dentistry.
Strong knowledge of general dentistry practices and dental terminology.
Excellent patient assessment skills to identify oral health issues effectively.
Ability to maintain aseptic technique throughout all procedures.
Strong communication skills for effective patient education and collaboration with the dental team.
