Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental clinic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care, promoting oral health, and ensuring a comfortable experience for our patients. As a vital member of our practice, you will work closely with dentists and other staff to deliver exceptional patient care while adhering to the highest standards of infection control and documentation.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history reviews and oral examinations.
Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing procedures.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient treatments using Dentrix software.
Implement aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Assist in pediatric dentistry procedures as needed, ensuring a positive experience for young patients.
Collaborate with the dental team to develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
Stay current with advancements in dental hygiene practices and participate in ongoing professional development.
Skills
Proficiency in dental clinic operations and procedures.
Knowledge of medical coding related to dental treatments is a plus.
Strong understanding of aseptic techniques and infection control measures.
Excellent patient assessment skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations.
Experience in dental assisting is beneficial but not mandatory.
Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices is advantageous.
Ability to conduct thorough documentation reviews and maintain accurate medical records.
Proficient in using Dentrix or similar dental practice management software.
