Job Description
Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality preventive dental care to patients while ensuring a comfortable and safe environment. This role requires a strong understanding of infection control protocols, patient education, and effective communication skills. The Dental Hygienist will work closely with dentists and other staff members to deliver exceptional patient care in both general and pediatric dentistry settings.
Responsibilities
Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations, including scaling and polishing teeth.
Assess patients' oral health by reviewing medical histories and taking vital signs.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, nutrition, and the importance of regular dental visits.
Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments, including charting findings and recommendations.
Implement infection control protocols to ensure a safe clinical environment, adhering to aseptic techniques.
Assist in the management of the dental clinic's operations, including sterilization of instruments and equipment.
Collaborate with dentists to develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
Conduct documentation reviews to ensure compliance with medical terminology standards and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Proficiency in infection control systems and aseptic techniques.
Knowledge of vital signs monitoring and general medical terminology related to dentistry.
Experience in general dentistry practices; pediatric dentistry experience is a plus.
Previous dental assisting experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50.00 - $54.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
