Summary
As a Dental Hygienist at Precious Smiles Children and Family Dentistry, you will play a vital role in promoting oral health and hygiene among our patients. This position is essential to our commitment to delivering high-quality dental care and ensuring patient comfort during their visits.
Responsibilities

Perform thorough dental cleanings and assessments for patients of all ages.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Assist in infection control procedures to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Utilize four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures.
Conduct documentation reviews to ensure accuracy in patient records and treatment plans.
Collaborate with dentists to develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.

Qualifications

Valid dental hygienist license in the state of practice.
Proven experience in a dental office setting, preferably with pediatric patients.
Strong knowledge of infection control protocols and aseptic techniques.
Familiarity with medical coding and documentation review is a plus.
Excellent patient assessment skills with attention to detail.
Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members.
Experience with medical imaging technology is beneficial but not required.
