Expanded Functions Dental Assistant - Schmidt Family Dentistry, LLC - Sheridan, IN

Schmidt Family Dentistry is a new dental practice located in Sheridan, IN that is looking for a part-time EFDA to work Wednesdays and Thursdays 9:00am to 5:00pm starting in November 2024. We are dental practice determined to grow and invest in our employees. We are building out a new facility that will be less than a mile away from our current location opening summer 2025.
X-ray certification and EFDA certification required.
Primary Duties

Assist Doctor during treatment and anticipate needs
Perform expanded functions as directed by the Doctor
Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for patients
Apply medicaments and materials as directed by Doctor
Chart and record treatment information in the chart accurately
Perform post-operative patient care and instructions as directed by Doctor
Review patients’ medical history and record
Obtain dental radiographs
Prepare patients for diagnosis and / or treatment
Ensure compliance with infection control protocols

Desired Qualifications

High School graduate
1+ years of dental assisting preferred
Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) required
X-ray certification required
Knowledge of sterilization techniques
Attention to detail
