Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and assisting the dental team in various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and sterile environment.
Responsibilities

Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring the comfort of patients.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following infection control protocols.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow within the office.
Perform administrative tasks such as medical coding and billing when necessary.
Support pediatric patients with a gentle approach to ease their anxiety during visits.
Utilize dental software, such as Eaglesoft or Epic, for record management and scheduling.
Stay updated on aseptic techniques and infection control measures.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a dental assistant program is preferred.
Knowledge of general dentistry practices, anatomy, endodontics, and pediatrics.
Familiarity with infection control protocols and aseptic techniques.
Experience with four-handed dentistry is advantageous.
Proficiency in medical coding is a plus.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining patient records.
Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
