Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Moline, IL
Our dental office is looking for a dental assistant responsible for providing hands-on support to Dentists and completing prep work so they can more efficiently care for patients. Their duties include completing intake paperwork and updating patient records, sterilizing and organizing dental tools, taking radiographs, assisting during dental procedures, and more. The ideal candidate will have experience in a dental setting. We are looking for someone dependable and reliable to assist with a team of other dental assistants and two dentists. Responsibilities:- Assist the dentist during dental procedures- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations- Take dental x-rays- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment- Provide oral hygiene instructions to patients- Perform basic laboratory procedures, such as mixing dental materials and pouring models- Schedule patient appointments and maintain patient records- Assist with medical documentation and coding
Requirements:- Completion of an accredited dental assisting program or relevant work experience- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures- Proficiency in patient assessment and medical records management- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
