Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and ensuring a comfortable experience for our patients. You will play a crucial role in promoting oral health and educating patients about proper dental hygiene practices.
Responsibilities
Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess oral health.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Document patient care and treatment plans accurately in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Assist in the development of individualized patient care plans based on their specific needs.
Utilize aseptic techniques and infection control procedures to maintain a safe environment.
Collaborate with dentists in general and pediatric dentistry procedures as needed.
Review medical histories and conduct documentation reviews to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Operate dental equipment and instruments, ensuring they are properly sterilized and maintained.
Utilize Dentrix software for patient scheduling, documentation, and record management.
Requirements
Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Proficiency in infection control protocols and aseptic techniques.
Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dental practices.
Experience or familiarity with general dentistry and pediatric dentistry is preferred.
Strong documentation skills with attention to detail for accurate patient records.
Ability to provide compassionate patient care while maintaining professionalism.
Previous experience in dental assisting is a plus but not required.
