Dental Sterilization Technician - Full Arch Dental Implant Center - Lake Havasu City, AZ

OverviewOur team is growing! We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sterilization Technician to join our dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness and safety of our medical instruments and equipment. This position requires a strong understanding of sterilization processes, adherence to safety protocols and infection control, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Experience in dental assisting, or related fields is highly desirable.
Duties

Perform thorough cleaning, sterilization, and maintenance of surgical instruments and dental tools.
Operate sterilization equipment such as autoclaves and ensure proper functioning.
Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Assist in the preparation of instruments for various procedures.
Collaborate with dental staff to ensure all instruments are ready for use.
Utilize 3D scanners/printers as needed for specific procedures.
Follow strict infection control protocols and safety guidelines to prevent contamination.
Conduct regular inventory checks of sterilized equipment and supplies.
Help with taking radiographs when needed.

Requirements

Previous experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in dental assisting, is preferred.
Familiarity with medical records management and HIPAA compliance.
Ability to operate X-ray equipment is a plus.
Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
Willingness to learn new systems and processes related to sterilization techniques.
