Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our patient focused dental team. Our family practice has been serving our community for over 40 years. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care, focusing on preventive dental health and education. As a Dental Hygienist, you will work closely with patients to ensure their comfort and understanding of dental procedures while maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and safety.
Duties

Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations for patients of all ages, including pediatrics.
Perform infection control procedures to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff.
Assist dentists during various dental procedures, providing support as needed.
Review patient documentation and medical histories to provide accurate assessments.
Utilize medical imaging systems to capture necessary diagnostic images.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, including brushing, flossing, and dietary recommendations.
Monitor vital signs as part of the initial patient assessment process.
Maintain accurate records of patient treatments and progress within the practice management system.

ExperienceCandidates should possess a valid Dental Hygienist license and have experience in general dentistry practices. Familiarity with medical terminology, dental assisting techniques, and documentation review is essential. Experience working with pediatric patients is preferred but not mandatory. A strong understanding of infection control protocols and the ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment are also important for success in this role.

Pay: $55.00 - $65.00 per hour
