Registered Dental Hygienist (Part-time) - Rivers Dentistry - Fort Myers, FL

Job OverviewWe are experiencing growth and are seeking a part time hygienist to supplement our periodontal program (1-2 weeks a month). Rivers Dentistry's vision and mission is to meet patients where they are, and compassionately lead and help patients get the care they need and desire. Oftentimes, this is done through sedation (N2O, oral conscious, IV moderate, or GA with our anesthesiologist partners).

Responsibilities

Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess the oral health of patients.
Create meaningful connections with patients
Administer preventive treatments such as fluoride applications and sealants.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Document patient care and treatment plans accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Assist in the development of treatment plans based on patient needs and preferences.
Maintain aseptic techniques and infection control protocols within the dental clinic environment.
Collaborate with dentists and other staff members to provide comprehensive patient care
Take BW, PA, CBCT, and intraoral scans to assist in patient diagnosis
Ensure that all dental equipment is sterilized and maintained according to safety standards.

Requirements

Valid Dental Hygienist license in accordance with state regulations.
Knowledge of aseptic techniques, infection control practices, and HIPAA compliance is essential.
Previous experience in a dental clinic or office setting is highly desirable.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages and backgrounds.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment and communicate findings between patients and team members (solid handoffs)
