Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction during their visits. This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent patient assessment skills, and the ability to maintain accurate medical documentation. The Dental Hygienist will work closely with dentists and other staff members in a fast-paced dental clinic environment.
Responsibilities- Perform thorough dental cleanings and periodontal treatments for patients of all ages.- Assess patients' oral health by taking vital signs and conducting comprehensive patient assessments.- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care.- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient treatments using electronic health record systems, such as Epic.- Assist in the management of pediatric dentistry cases, ensuring a comfortable experience for younger patients.- Utilize medical imaging techniques to capture diagnostic images as needed.- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure seamless patient flow and high-quality care.- Stay current with dental hygiene practices and participate in continuing education opportunities.
Qualifications- Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.- Experience working in a dental office or clinic setting is preferred.- Strong knowledge of medical documentation practices and familiarity with medical records management.- Proficiency in taking vital signs and conducting patient assessments.-- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to educate patients effectively.- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all aspects of patient care.
