Job SummaryWe are seeking a to join our small but growing dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for helping others in a clinical environment. Spanish language skills are preferred but not required. No experience? That's okay. We are willing to train the right candidate.
Responsibilities

Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed by the dentist.
Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans.
Educate patients on oral hygiene, postoperative care, and preventive measures.
Schedule appointments and manage patient flow within the office.
Perform administrative duties such as managing inventory of dental supplies and handling billing tasks when necessary.
Stay updated on new dental technologies and procedures to enhance patient care.
Assist with daily function and upkeep of the office.

Requirements

Knowledge of dental anatomy preferred.
Experience or familiarity with pediatrics is a plus.
Proficiency in Spanish is desirable but not mandatory.
Prior experience in dental assisting is not required but preferred; familiarity with Eaglesoft software is advantageous.
Strong understanding of infection control practices to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
Knowledge of prosthodontics and endodontics procedures is beneficial.
Experience as a dental receptionist or in administrative roles within a dental setting is preferred but not required.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages.

Pay: $14.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
