Responsibilities

Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment following aseptic techniques.
Take dental X-rays as required and ensure proper handling of medical records.
Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Implement infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
Support pediatric patients by creating a welcoming atmosphere and addressing their concerns.

Qualifications

Previous experience in dental assisting required.
Proficiency in dental terminology and understanding of medical coding is advantageous.
Knowledge of aseptic techniques and infection control practices is essential.
Strong communication skills with the ability to interact positively with patients of all ages, especially children.
Ability to multitask efficiently in a busy clinical setting while maintaining attention to detail.
Certification in Dental Assisting or relevant coursework is required.
