Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Las Vegas, NV

Established patient health-centered dental practice located in Henderson, is seeking the right candidate to fill the important position of Dental Assistant. This position is critical in helping patients receive the highest level of care, provide oversight, leadership, and mentor fellow dental assistants. The ideal candidate will have a positive outgoing attitude, the ability to connect with patients with the highest level of customer service and be system-oriented, as well as, assisting in the efficiency and functionality of the back office and help reach their goals set forth by the doctor. The candidate must have an outgoing personality and have the ability to talk openly with others. Candidates with 3+ years of dental assisting experience preferred for those who are looking for a long-term new dental home.
Needed Skills
· Review and connect with patients about their current level of oral health and treatment needs.
· General Job duties include;
1. Greeting patients in reception and escorting them to the operatory.
2. Maintain a clean/neat working environment according to current infection control procedures.
3. Review and update medical history, obtain and record vital signs, record accurate chart notes under the direction of the doctor, and review and obtain signed informed consents.
4. Assume responsibility with any expanded function duties delegated by the dentist.
5. Assist the dentist in the administration of treatment at the chair side as required or directed.
6. Promote an atmosphere supportive of good oral health, providing written and verbal home care and postoperative instructions.
7. Maintain proper supplies for both hygiene and restorative operatory using a provided budget.
8. Ensure patients receive a complete treatment plan documented on the computer and schedule for any corresponding appointments that are needed.
Dental Assistant Duties Include:
Directing and leading clinical assistants
Leading back office staff in cleanliness throughout the dental office
Leading clinical staff in maintaining a smooth patient workflow with the front office staff and clinical terms to promote timely and exceptional patient experience
Collaborate with other office staff to improve better patient care.
In conjunction with the Office manager, lead dental assistant ensures adequate coverage of dental assistants to ensure efficient workflow.
Mentors and trains other clinical staff
Maintains the knowledge that is a resource to other clinical staff and uses their expertise to improve patient care and advance company goals.
Responsible for the professional and clinical development of the other dental assistants in the office.
Assists in the efficient transition and adaptation of new dental assistant staff.
Issue resolution and workflow recommendations for continuous process improvements
Lead in inventory management
Dental supplies and dental supply ordering: maintain a running list of dental supply inventory.
Monitor dental supply expirations and dispose of materials accordingly.
Work in conjunction with management team to request dental supply needs properly and efficiently to the appropriate requisition channel for ordering while adhering to inventory budget.
Is mindful and stays within the care center budget that has been established by the company.
We are open on Tuesdays and Thursdays until 7 pm and work 3 Saturdays a month
MUST HAVE AT LEAST 2 YEARS EXPERIENCE!

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
