Dental Assistant - Chestnut Oak Dental - Cold Spring, NY

We are a small, busy dental office with a close-knit staff. We are looking for a dental assistant who values being part of a work culture that supports quality, excellence, and good will among co-workers and patients. Our ideal candidate would be a friendly person who is passionate about dentistry, with a desire to learn more and expand his or her skill set. Our office is open Monday-Thursdays. Having experience is a plus, but we are willing to train and develop the right candidate. We use OpenDental software, Dexis, as well as 3Shape scanner. Pay commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities- Assist the dentist chairside during procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments are prepared and used correctly.- Utilize medical terminology and knowledge of dental procedures to effectively communicate with patients and other healthcare professionals.- Maintain aseptic technique and adhere to infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment for patients.- Handle patient medical records and documentation accurately and securely, following HIPAA regulations.- Utilize OpenDental software for scheduling appointments, managing patient information, and processing medical imaging.- Perform patient assessments, including taking vital signs and assisting with medical imaging as needed.- Collaborate with the dental receptionist to ensure smooth patient flow and provide excellent customer service.- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in dental technology to provide the best possible care to patients.
