Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join us at Buffalo Square Dental! We are looking for a dental hygienist to join us anywhere from 2-4 days a week (whatever works best for you). We are currently open Monday and Tuesday from 9am to 6pm and Thursday and Friday from 8am to 5pm. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care, performing dental assessments, and ensuring the highest standards of oral hygiene. The Dental Hygienist will work closely with dentists and other staff to deliver comprehensive dental services while maintaining a friendly and professional environment.
Duties

Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history reviews and oral examinations.
Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing procedures to maintain optimal oral health.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Take and interpret medical imaging as needed for diagnostic purposes.
Monitor and record vital signs to ensure patient safety during procedures.
Utilize Eaglesoft software for patient management and record keeping.
Assist in various dental procedures as required, including general dentistry tasks.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control protocols.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist in a clinical setting is preferred.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry.
Familiarity with dental assisting practices is a plus.
Proficient in medical coding relevant to dental procedures.
Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and education.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
