Join Our Boutique Pediatric Dental Clinic in Piscataway, NJ!
Are you a compassionate and go-getter type person seeking to grow with an expanding practice? We are looking for an energetic, resourceful, detail-oriented dental assistant who enjoys interacting with kids! If you are a strong team player with a positive attitude, who is adaptable to changing situations, reliable and punctual, we'd love for you to join. Must have proof of NJ dental xray license.
We are looking for a proactive candidate who is willing to be cross trained for front desk administrative duties with strong on-the-job-training. This will allow candidate to learn full operations of the office and potentially lead to career advancement, such as an office manager role.
Hours: 8 am - 5 pm, with lunch break
Days: Must be available on the following days for full-day shifts:

Tuesday - Friday
can include Mondays as well

Requirements:
We're seeking someone who's interested in a long-term position, preferably someone who can commit to at least one year.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Four-handed dentistry assisting and providing patient comfort during dental procedures
Sterilizing dental instruments and equipment
Taking x-rays on pediatric patients, patience or willingness to learn
Providing patient education on oral hygiene, dietary recommendations and post-operative care
Perform dental charting and documentation using electronic health record systems
Performing patient assessments, including medical history and treatment plans, updating patient records
Assisting with dental coding and billing processes
Identifying and solving problems proactively to enhance office efficiency and workflow.
Maintain office supplies and inventory, and place orders as necessary
Maintain cleanliness throughout office
Maintain infection control and hazardous waste protocol according to OSHA and office policies
Willingness to answer phone calls, schedule patients, and assist with administrative duties to familiarize self with administrative dental operations
