OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction during visits. This position requires a strong understanding of general dentistry practices, infection control protocols, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Duties

Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and examinations for patients of all ages, including pediatric dentistry.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and the importance of maintaining good dental health.
Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans, utilizing medical terminology and systems relevant to the dental clinic.
Conduct assessments of patients’ periodontal health and recommend appropriate treatments or referrals as necessary.
Ensure compliance with infection control protocols to maintain a safe and sterile environment within the dental office.
Utilize medical imaging technologies to assist in diagnosing dental conditions and planning treatment.

Qualifications

Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Familiarity with infection control standards and procedures in a dental setting.
Experience with pediatric dentistry is preferred but not required.
Proficient in using medical imaging equipment and software relevant to dental diagnostics.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively about their oral health.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
