Responsibilities:
- Perform dental hygiene procedures, including teeth cleaning, scaling, and polishing- Take and develop dental x-rays- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and provide personalized oral care instructions- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide as needed- Conduct thorough dental assessments and screenings- Assist the dentist during dental procedures- Maintain accurate patient records using electronic dental record systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft- Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean and sterile work environment
Qualifications:
- Valid state dental hygiene license- Associate's degree in Dental Hygiene (Bachelor's degree preferred)- Proficiency in using dental software systems such as Epic, Dentrix, or Eaglesoft- Knowledge of medical coding and billing procedures related to dental services- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
