Registered Dental Hygienist - George N. Lukes, DMD General Dentistry - Mobile, AL

Responsibilities:
This position is from Monday - Thursday or Mon., Tues, and Thursday- Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth- Take and develop dental x-rays and intraoral images- Conduct oral cancer screenings and periodontal assessments- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized oral care instructions- Assist the dentist during procedures and maintain a sterile working environment- Document patient treatment plans, progress notes, and medical history accurately in the electronic health record system- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure optimal patient care
Skills:- Proficiency in medical documentation and electronic health record systems (e.g., Dentrix)- Experience with medical imaging techniques, including intraoral and extraoral radiography- Ability to take vital signs and accurately record them in patient charts- Strong understanding of medical terminology and dental anatomy- Excellent patient assessment skills to identify oral health issues and develop appropriate treatment plans
