Job Overview : Sleep Dentistry Assistant and front : For Sleep
Sleep Assistant is a new part of dentistry .Duties are different from a Dental assistant .
You will be working with a team of people who will be providing services to the patients who needs an alternative to the CPAP treating sleep apnea . You will be working with patients ages from 20 and higher .
You will be trained on the job needs to be performed . Other than than the general basic good working skills with the patient .If you are good at learning , independent ,organized and good at taking care of patients and presenting to the patients rest we can teach you . Need to be accountable for your work .
To give a general idea of some of the job you will be doing : No drilling - All pictures-Mostly scans - impressions - presenting TX plans - administrative work - Lab repairs and pour ups -Device adjustments -follow ups - Lots of notes - record up keep . These are some of the work . Perfect for who were in dental but cannot do bend over backward jobs .
Have to be looking for long term job . No short term applicants please . Its a great opportunity for the person who wants to stay in dental and not have to work chair side for the fillings - crowns - Ext - Rcts .
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented EFDA /Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow within the office while providing exceptional patient care. As a Sleep Assistant, you will assist the dentist during procedures, manage patient records, and maintain a clean and organized environment in compliance with health regulations.
Responsibilities
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures to ensure patient comfort and safety.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following infection control protocols.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as required.
Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Manage appointment schedules, including confirming appointments and following up with patients.
Assist in the management of inventory, including ordering supplies as needed.
Requirements
Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control practices
Proficient in aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile working environment.
Ability to handle medical records accurately while adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
Previous experience as a EFDA or an Dental Assistant is mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.

Along PATIENT CARE COORDINATOR DUTIES:
â Welcomes patients and visitors by greeting patients and visitors, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries.
â Optimizes patients' satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization by scheduling appointments in person or by telephone.
â Keeps patient appointments on schedule by notifying assistant of patient's arrival; reviewing service delivery compared to schedule; reminding provider of service delays.
â Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information.
