Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction while promoting optimal oral health. This role requires a strong understanding of dental hygiene practices, patient assessment, and infection control protocols. The Dental Hygienist will work closely with the dental team to deliver exceptional care, especially in pediatric dentistry.
Responsibilities

Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history and oral health evaluations.
Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and polishing procedures to maintain optimal oral hygiene.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Assist in the management of medical records while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Implement infection control protocols to maintain a safe and sterile environment for patients and staff.
Collaborate with dentists in developing treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
Utilize dental software systems such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix for patient management and record keeping.
Provide support in pediatric dentistry by creating a welcoming environment for young patients.

Skills

Proficient in patient assessment techniques and developing personalized care plans.
Knowledgeable in pediatric dentistry practices and approaches to ensure a positive experience for children.
Strong understanding of infection control standards and procedures within a dental setting.
Familiarity with maintaining accurate medical records while adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
Experience using dental systems such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix is preferred but not required.
Ability to assist in various aspects of dental assisting as needed, demonstrating flexibility within the team.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively educate patients on oral health matters.
