Fort Wayne, IN | Full-Time, No Weekends! | $42 to $45+/hr
Job Overview:
My client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team-oriented practice in Fort Wayne, IN. This role is perfect for a professional dedicated to building long-lasting relationships with patients while promoting optimal oral health. This RDH will perform essential duties such as dental prophylaxis, oral cancer screenings, and radiographic studies, and will chart conditions of decay and disease in compliance with the dental practice act.

Responsibilities:
Conduct dental prophylaxis by cleaning deposits and stains from teeth, including beneath the gum margins.
Perform oral cancer screenings and periodontal assessments by examining gums, using probes, and assessing gum recession.
Apply fluoride treatments and cavity-preventing agents to help arrest dental decay.
Assist the dentist in handling dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification and managing emergency equipment.
Educate patients on oral hygiene, plaque control, and provide post-procedure care instructions.
Document dental hygiene services accurately by recording vital signs, medical and dental histories, and charting patient records.
Ensure dental equipment is functional by performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and managing inventory of supplies.
Stay current with industry knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and participating in professional societies.
Requirements:
Registered Dental Hygienist license (required)
CPR certification
Local Anesthesia and Nitrous certification
