Registered Dental Hygienist - Bristol Dental Services - San Fernando, CA

OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing exceptional patient care and committed to promoting oral health. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in educating patients on proper dental hygiene practices while assisting the dentist in various procedures.
Duties

Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess patients' oral health.
Utilize aseptic techniques to maintain a safe and sterile environment during procedures.
Provide patient education on oral hygiene, dietary habits, and preventative care.
Assist in pediatric dentistry by making children feel comfortable during their visits.
Document patient treatment plans and maintain accurate records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Utilize Eaglesoft software for scheduling, charting, and managing patient information.
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality patient care.
Apply knowledge of medical terminology and coding when documenting treatments and procedures.
Support the dentist with four-handed dentistry techniques during various procedures.

Requirements

Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Proficiency in Eaglesoft or similar dental software is preferred.
Strong understanding of aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
Experience in pediatric dentistry is a plus but not mandatory.
Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and comfort.
Familiarity with medical terminology, coding, and assisting duties is advantageous.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while maintaining professionalism.
