Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team in a dynamic dental clinic environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of dental anatomy and infection control practices, with experience in both general and pediatric dentistry. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care, performing assessments, and assisting in various dental procedures to ensure the highest standards of oral health.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history review and oral examinations.
Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing to maintain optimal oral hygiene.
Educate patients on proper oral care techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Assist dentists during procedures by preparing instruments and materials as needed.
Implement infection control protocols and maintain aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety.
Document patient treatments and progress accurately in electronic health records.
Collaborate with the dental team to develop individualized treatment plans for patients.
Requirements
Valid dental hygiene license in accordance with state regulations.
Strong knowledge of dental anatomy and infection control practices.
Experience in a dental clinic setting is preferred.
Familiarity with pediatric dentistry is a plus.
Excellent patient assessment skills and ability to provide compassionate patient care.
Proficient in dental hygiene techniques and procedures.
Strong communication skills to effectively educate patients about their oral health.
