About us
Thousand Oaks Family Dentistry is a female run practice by Dr. Kari Ann Hong and Dr. Christine Tapp. We are ethically minded and don't diagnose work that doesn't need to be done. We have a team of three full time hygienists and are looking to fill one of the three positions.
Responsibilities:
- Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning teeth, removing plaque and tartar, and applying fluoride treatments
- Take photographs of teeth and dental x-rays
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide recommendations for at-home care
- Conduct patient assessments, including taking vital signs and recording medical history
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Use Dentrix Ascend software to schedule appointments, manage patient information, and process billing
- Follow aseptic techniques to maintain a clean and safe dental environment
Qualifications:
- Valid dental hygiene license in California
- Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program
- Excellent communication skills and ability to educate patients on oral health practices
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
