Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental office. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures and terminology, as well as excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and staff.
Duties

Assist the dentist during examinations and various dental procedures, including Endodontics and Prosthodontics.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient visit.
Perform infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Take medical imaging as required, including X-rays, while adhering to safety standards.
Manage patient scheduling and assist with front desk duties as needed, including basic dental receptionist tasks.
Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care instructions.
Collaborate with the dental team to provide exceptional patient care and improve office efficiency.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role within a dental practice.
Familiarity with dental software systems, particularly Open Dental, is preferred.
Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry is essential.
Understanding of infection control practices and protocols in a clinical setting.
Ability to manage medical records accurately and efficiently.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
A proactive attitude towards learning new techniques and improving skills in various areas of dentistry.
Bilingual preferred.
