Job SummaryWe are a fun, successful family dental practice that features implant and advanced cosmetic dentistry and are looking for an energetic and compassionate dental/surgical assistant to join our team! The ideal person has technical skills to work as an assistant but we are willing to train the right person. We care for our patients in a kind and caring atmosphere and strive to comfort and educate them while providing exceptional treatment for overall dental health. We are a private practice located in Jefferson and would love the opportunity to meet you.
Responsibilities
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, as needed.
Manage patient records by documenting medical history, treatment plans, and progress notes accurately.
Utilize dental software for scheduling appointments and maintaining patient information.
Prepare patients for endodontic, periodontic, and oral surgery procedures by explaining treatment processes and addressing any concerns.
Operate 3D scanners for imaging and assist in creating dental impressions.
Maintain a sterile environment by adhering to infection control protocols and cleaning instruments after use.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care.
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality patient care.
Experience /TrainingThe ideal candidate should possess/or be willing to be trained in the following skills:
Strong communication skills to interact with patients compassionately and professionally.
Proficient in dental assisting with a solid understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry.
Experience with medical documentation practices to ensure accurate patient records.
Familiarity with surgical dental procedures is preferred.
Knowledge of anatomy relevant to dental health.
Ability to operate a 3D scanner effectively.

Pay: $18.65 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 28 â 32 per week
