Job Description
We seek an energetic 'Associate General Dentist' for our growing practice. This opportunity is 1-2 days a week (9 am to 5 pm).
Essential Job Functions
Assume quality care of all dental patients.
Adhere to the highest standards of dental practices, ethics, and professionalism.
Proper documentation of procedures performed on patients.
Formulate a treatment plan for all patients and list it on treatment plan form.
Chart all existing dental work (e.g. missing teeth, decay, pocket depths, and soft tissue changes).
Read radiographs and document all observations.
Treatment plan should always be explained orally to patients before giving them a written plan.
Ensure that patientâs chief complaints are addressed when possible.
Refer when necessary. (3rd Molars)
Do all hygiene procedures.
Proficiency in simple and surgical extractions, crown & bridge, prosthodontics, and basic restoration.
Minimum Education, Training and Experience Required
Graduation from an accredited dental school
Completion of an accredited general practice residency program is preferred
Minimum of two years of clinical experience preferred
MD Medicaid is a plus
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Adapting quickly and working efficiently is essential. (We have a very busy schedule)
Knowledge of FQHC operations, operating principles, guidelines and bylaws.
Excellent leadership, customer service, organizational and presentation skills as well as the ability to effectively communicate our vision, and motivate others to achieve it organizationally, departmentally, and personally/professionally. Ability to communicate effectively (verbally and in writing).
Ability to plan and organize work initiatives to successfully accomplish center/organizational goals and objectives.
Ability to multi-task, prioritize and delegate as appropriate. Strong analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills.
Ability to identify, develop and implement short/long-term strategic goals and objectives.

Ability to: ensure and advocate for quality healthcare and services; and, lead and manage a diverse staff.
Licenses and Certifications
Unrestricted license to practice dentistry in the State of Maryland
Current CPR (BLS) certifications. ACLS preferred
Current Maryland CDS and DEA registrations
Current Medicare and Medicaid provider numbers (or eligibility)
MD Medicaid number is a plus
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $800.00 - $1,000.00 per day
