Dental Assistant - Columbus Park Dental - New York, NY

Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our growing team at Columbus Park Dental on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays! The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dentist in various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, aseptic techniques, and the ability to maintain a professional demeanor in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:- Assist the dentist during dental procedures- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment- Take dental x-rays + CBCT + PANO- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care- Maintain a clean and organized dental office environment
Experience:- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Dental Assistant- Proficiency in aseptic technique and infection control protocols- Knowledge of dental systems and terminology- Ability to assess patient needs and provide appropriate assistance- Familiarity with dental assisting procedures, including chairside assisting, impressions, and restorative procedures- Familiarity with iTero and Planmeca- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical documentation
Our hours are:
Thursday 8am-4pm or 10am-6pm
Friday 8am-3pm
Saturday 9:30am-3pm
