Dental Assistant - Mt Kisco Dentistry & Implants - Mount Kisco, NY

This position is for MONDAY & TUESDAY, 8AM - 6PM (this is office hours)
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting the dentist during patient procedures and providing exceptional patient care. Duties:- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations and procedures- Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including taking dental x-rays, suctioning, and passing instruments- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures- Take and record patient vital signs- Perform basic laboratory tasks, such as pouring impressions and trimming models- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical documentation and patient records- Follow strict infection control protocols to ensure the safety of patients and staff- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions
Experience:To be successful in this role, you should have the following skills and qualifications:- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or relevant dental experience preferred- Proficiency in dental software systems such as Dentrix, or OpenDental- Knowledge of medical coding and insurance billing processes- Familiarity with aseptic technique and infection control protocols- Ability to take accurate patient assessments and record vital signs- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
