Job Description
Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental pediatric practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dentist during procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures, as well as the ability to work effectively with both children and adults in a friendly and professional manner.
Responsibilities
Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following aseptic techniques.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Record patient medical histories, vital signs, and other relevant information accurately.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Maintain an organized and clean working environment in accordance with health regulations.
Schedule appointments and manage patient records using dental software such as Epic.
Support pediatric dentistry by providing compassionate care to younger patients.
Experience
Familiarity with medical terminology, particularly in relation to dentistry.
Experience in general dentistry, including assisting with prosthodontics procedures.
Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices is a plus.
Previous experience in a dental assistant role is preferred but not required; we are willing to train the right candidate.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining professionalism at all times.
