Dental Assistant - Diamond Dental Studio - Kendall Park, NJ

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice for Wednesdays 2-8pm and some Saturdays 8-2pm. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control protocols, and excellent communication skills to ensure a positive experience for our patients.
Duties

Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures by preparing instruments and materials.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
Take digital dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed by the dentist.
Manage patient records and documentation, ensuring accuracy in medical coding and medical documentation.
Schedule appointments and manage the front desk as needed, utilizing Dentrix.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care.
Perform additional duties as assigned to ensure smooth operation of the dental office.

Requirements

Proven experience in dental assisting or a related field is preferred. New grads are also welcome and willing to train.
X-ray license
Knowledge of dental terminology and infection control practices is essential.
Familiarity with Dentrix.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and team members.
Ability to work collaboratively while maintaining professionalism.
Certification in dental assisting or relevant training is preferred but not mandatory.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 6 – 12 per week
