OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. This is a part time job. Looking for someone for Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dentist in various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and sterile environment.
Responsibilities

Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix.
Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans.
Perform four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures.
Manage appointment scheduling, patient intake, and follow-up communications.
Support pediatric dentistry practices with a gentle approach to young patients.
Assist in endodontic procedures as required, ensuring patient comfort throughout.

Experience

Previous experience as a Dental Assistant in a dental clinic setting is preferred.
Familiarity with infection control protocols and sterilization techniques is essential.
Proficiency in using dental software such as Dentrix is highly desirable, but not mandatory.
Knowledge of medical imaging techniques related to dentistry is an advantage.
Experience with general dentistry practices, including assisting with various dental procedures.
