OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring patient comfort and assisting the dental team in providing high-quality care. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control protocols, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Maintain accurate medical records and patient information using dental software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix.
Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions.
Perform four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures.
Manage appointment scheduling and assist with front desk duties when required.
Adhere to infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
Skills
Proficiency in dental terminology and familiarity with general dentistry practices.
Experience with Denticon software for managing patient records.
Knowledge of infection control procedures to ensure compliance with health regulations.
Ability to work effectively with pediatric patients, demonstrating patience and understanding.
Experience in four-handed dentistry techniques to support the dentist during procedures.
Strong organizational skills for maintaining medical records and managing appointments.
Familiarity with 3D scanning technology is a plus but not required.

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
