Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental office. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control protocols, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. At least 1 year of proven Dental Assisting experience is required.
Responsibilities

Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, including general and pediatric dentistry.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Maintain accurate patient records using dental software systems such as Dentrix or Epic.
Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
Monitor vital signs and assist in managing patient comfort during procedures.
Implement infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient flow.

Experience

Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not required; we welcome candidates eager to learn.
Familiarity with medical terminology related to dentistry is essential.
Knowledge of four-handed dentistry techniques is advantageous.
Experience with pediatric dentistry is a plus.
Proficiency in using dental software systems such as Dentrix or Epic is desirable.
Understanding of infection control practices within a dental setting is critical.
