OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties

Assist the dentist during various procedures, including examinations, cleanings, and surgeries.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and dental equipment in accordance with infection control protocols.
Take digital X-rays while adhering to safety guidelines.
Maintain accurate medical records and patient histories, ensuring all information is up-to-date.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow to optimize office efficiency.
Utilize OpenDental software for patient management and record keeping.
Monitor vital signs as necessary during procedures.
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a positive patient experience.
Respect HIPAA and OSHA Rules and Regulations

ExperienceThe ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:

Proficiency in X-Ray techniques and knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry.
Familiarity with dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and infection control practices.
Experience in endodontics or general dentistry is preferred but not required.
Ability to maintain professionalism while interacting with patients and staff.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing medical records.
