The ideal candidate will provide essential support to our dental team, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow while delivering exceptional patient care. This role requires proficiency in various dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and a passion for working with patients of all ages, particularly in pediatric dentistry.
Responsibilities

Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a comfortable environment for patients.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following aseptic techniques.
Take and develop dental X-rays while adhering to safety protocols.
Maintain accurate medical records and patient information using Dentrix software.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Monitor vital signs as needed during procedures.
Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the dental operatory and waiting areas.
Collaborate with team members to enhance the overall patient experience.

Experience

Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred, especially in pediatric dentistry.
Familiarity with dental terminology and medical imaging techniques is not necessary but helpful.
Proficiency in using Dentrix or similar dental practice management software is a plus.
Knowledge of vital signs monitoring and medical records management is beneficial.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members.
