OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients while ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow in the dental office. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to patient care.
Duties

Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following aseptic techniques.
Take and develop X-rays as required, adhering to safety protocols.
Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix software, including treatment notes and medical histories.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Manage appointment scheduling and assist with front desk duties as needed, including answering phones and greeting patients.
Support pediatric dentistry efforts by providing compassionate care to young patients.
Assist in prosthodontics procedures by preparing materials and instruments necessary for treatments.

Requirements

Proficiency in medical terminology related to dentistry.
Experience in general dentistry practices is preferred; knowledge of pediatric dentistry is a plus.
Familiarity with X-ray procedures and safety measures.
Competence in using Dentrix or similar dental practice management software.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for maintaining patient records.
Ability to work well in a team environment while providing exceptional patient service.
Knowledge of aseptic techniques to ensure a safe clinical environment.
Previous experience as a dental receptionist is advantageous but not mandatory.
