Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental clinic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dentist in various procedures. This position requires proficiency in dental assisting techniques, excellent communication skills, and a strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures.
Responsibilities

Assist the dentist during examinations and treatment procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
Prepare and maintain the treatment room, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are ready for use.
Perform tasks such as taking dental radiographs, applying topical anesthetics, and assisting with patient management.
Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records using Dentrix.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions.
Ensure compliance with aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
Manage inventory of dental supplies and assist in ordering as needed.
Support front office staff with scheduling appointments and managing patient flow when necessary.

Qualifications

Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred, with a strong understanding of general dentistry practices.
Familiarity with dental terminology, medical documentation, and electronic health record systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft is advantageous.
Knowledge of aseptic techniques and infection control procedures is essential.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
Certification in dental assisting or relevant training is preferred but not mandatory.
