Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Lake Charles, LA
We are looking for a positive, energetic, and self-motivated individual to join our team at Louisiana Oral & Implant surgery as an oral surgery assistant!
Primary responsibilities:
Assisting during surgery, attaching anesthesia monitors, helping monitor sedated patients, organization/sterilization of appropriate surgical instruments, maintaining/ordering surgical supply inventory, obtaining x-ray and CT imaging, maintaining appearance and order of oral surgery office.
Cross coverage duties for front may include: greeting and checking in patients, answering telephones, gathering information from patients upon patient arrival, conducting patient insurance verification, scheduling and confirming appointments, and receiving patient payments,
Personal Requirements:Completion of high school diploma or equivalent required.Completion of dental assisting program preferred.
Recent graduates or current enrollees of dental assistant programs are welcome to apply.
Prefer previous experience at dental/medical office.Working knowledge of computers for Microsoft Office, patient scheduling, and records management. Excellent typing skills required.Highly motivated, flexible, organized and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Hours:Working hours are 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM Monday through Thursday
7:30 AM - 3:00 PM on Fridays.
Off for major holidays.
Salary:Compensation commensurate with experience.
