Job Description
OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dental team in various procedures. This position requires a strong commitment to patient comfort and safety, as well as excellent customer service skills and proficiency in dental assisting techniques.
Duties
Assist the Periodontist during various procedures, ensuring a sterile and efficient working environment.
Prepare and organize treatment rooms, including sterilizing instruments and setting up necessary materials.
Perform four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance patient comfort and procedural efficiency.
Maintain accurate medical documentation and manage patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Schedule patients and manage patient flow as needed.
Educate patients on post-operative care, oral hygiene practices, and treatment plans.
ExperienceCandidates should possess experience or knowledge in the following areas:
Previous experience in dental assisting or a related field is preferred.
Previous experience with Dentrix Software is a plus.
Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
