Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will work closely with the dentist and dental hygienist to provide quality dental care to our patients. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting the Hygienist within the office.
Responsibilities:
-Place Sealants
- Prepare rooms and seat patients.
- Take and develop dental x-rays as directed by the dentist
- Prepare materials for impressions and restorations
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions
- Maintain accurate patient records and update medical history as necessary
- Schedule patient appointments
- Follow infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy
Skills:
- Proficient in medical terminology related to dentistry
- Familiarity with dental practice management software such as Dentrix.
- Experience in taking vital signs and recording patient information accurately
- Strong understanding of infection control procedures and aseptic technique
Qualifications:
- Completion of a dental assistant program required
- Dental assistant certification or license required in some states; CPR certification may also be required
- Previous experience as a dental assistant is preferred but not required
