Tom M Fuchs DMD is a privately-owned dental practice with over 30 years serving the busy, ever-growing Middletown community.
We are seeking an experienced EDDA/EFDA Dental Assistant to join our quickly growing practice 4 days per week (full-time). We are looking for someone who is upbeat, detail oriented, and most importantly, committed to delivering the highest quality dental care to our patients. This position requires an outgoing team player with experience in implants (required), placing dental fillings (amalgam and composite), impressions, crown/bridge seats, and x-rays.

Responsibilities

Greet and assist patients to treatment rooms.
Preparing and maintaining the dental operatory, including sterilization of instruments and equipment.
Providing chairside assistance to the dentist during a variety of dental procedures, including restorative and prosthodontic procedures.
Taking digital radiographs, intraoral photos, and impressions.
Examine patients, take medical histories, and maintain accurate patient records and charting.
Scan, design, and mill single unit crowns.
Performing coronal polishing and fluoride treatments.
Provide patient education on oral hygiene and postoperative instructions.
Performs other work-related duties: answers telephones, schedules patients, and other light office duties as assigned.

Position Qualifications

High school diploma or its equivalent
3 year or more of dental assisting experience - specifically with coronal polishing
Completion of an Expanded Duties Dental Assisting training program..
Current CPR certification (or obtain within the required time frame)
Completion of a radiation safety class, as defined by the Kentucky Board of Dentistry.

Pay Rate:

Based on skill level and years of experience

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 32 per week
