OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring a comfortable and efficient experience. This position requires a strong understanding of dental assisting practices and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties

Assist the dentist during various procedures, including examinations, cleanings, and treatments.
Prepare and maintain treatment rooms, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are ready for use.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as required.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Manage patient records using dental software systems such as Dentrix and Epic.
Ensure compliance with infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment for both patients and staff.
Schedule appointments and manage patient flow within the office.
Support pediatric dentistry procedures by providing compassionate care to younger patients.

Skills

Proficient in dental assisting techniques with knowledge of general dentistry practices.
Familiarity with Dentrix software for managing patient records and appointments.
Understanding of infection control procedures to ensure patient safety.
Experience in pediatric dentistry is preferred but not mandatory; a willingness to learn is essential.
Knowledge of medical coding related to dental procedures is a plus.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and team members.
Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment while maintaining attention to detail.
