Job OverviewWe are seeking a Dental Assistant preferably with experience but not required to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental office. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices and procedures, along with excellent communication skills to interact with patients and staff effectively.
Responsibilities

Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures by preparing instruments and materials.
Ensure a clean and sterile environment by adhering to infection control protocols.
Take and develop medical imaging, including X-rays, as required.
Maintain accurate patient records and manage appointment schedules using dental software systems such as Dentrix.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Manage inventory of dental supplies and ensure that all necessary materials are available for procedures.
Provide support in pediatric dentistry and prosthodontics as needed.
Collaborate with the dental receptionist to ensure smooth patient flow and communication.

Skills

Proficiency in using dental software systems, particularly Macpractice.
Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry.
Familiarity with infection control protocols and practices.
Experience in prosthodontics and pediatric dentistry is a plus.
Strong understanding of anatomy relevant to dental procedures.
Ability to perform medical imaging accurately.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong interpersonal skills for effective patient interaction.

Pay: $16.66 - $17.41 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
