Job Description
Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Hygiene Dental Assistant to join our dental team. The ideal candidate will assist the dental hygienist during patient appointments, ensure the clinic maintains a sterile environment, and provide excellent patient care. This role is essential in supporting the daily operations of the practice and ensuring patients have a positive and comfortable experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Sterilize dental instruments and ensure proper infection control protocols are followed.
Prepare and maintain patient records, updating medical history and treatment notes.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and preventive care.
Ensure a clean and organized work environment in the treatment rooms and patient areas.
Manage patient flow, including preparing the next patient for treatment and maintaining schedule efficiency.
Help with patient intake and updates to personal health information.
Take dental x-rays, place sealants, and take Itero scans.
Support the front office team with patient scheduling, confirming appointments, and answering calls when necessary.
Qualifications:
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
Compassionate and patient-focused demeanor.
Prior experience strongly preferred.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with Eaglesoft.
Bilingual (preferred but not required).
